Haworthia Growers UK is a Facebook-based group set up for like-minded hobbyists and growers of Haworthia, Haworthiopsis and Tulista in the UK. All are welcome to join us, be it you are just starting out or have been a lover of these beautiful plants for some time.
It’s a great place for you to show your plants, ask questions or share any tips.
About Us
The admin team of HGUK is passionate about Haworthia and more importantly the hobbyist side of things, such as showing of the plants and enjoying social gatherings in the UK. We want to create a friendly, informative and safe group for all our members. We hugely encourage those new to the hobby to join the group and we very much welcome their questions (we will always try to ensure a reply). Our plan going forward is to issue interesting and useful online information on growing, watering, seed propagation, greenhouse maintenance etc. We are fully open to any suggestions our members may have. This is your group and your views/ideas are most important.
Being a member of this group you will be able to attend and participate in any events we directly arrange. Our future hope for the group is to hold shows and other gatherings to promote these wonderful plants.
As a relatively new group it is both an honour and a privilege to be asked to display these plants via a show at such an incredible event as Cactus at the Castle, in the beautiful setting of Lullingstone Castle. We are extremely proud that the event organisers have seen how enthusiastic and passionate we are about having people engage in this amazing hobby and we look forward to a great display and meeting with fellow enthusiasts, both at the show and at our specially arranged talk.
